About Gino Gagliardi

Gino here, 30 years old and living in Leiden since 2021. I’m a digital marketer at heart, electronic music label owner and vinologist.

Now more than before I know that I started my marketing career in a good local restaurant, ultimately working my way up as a sommelier. It was during that time I started studying wine at the wine academy in the Netherlands.

The idea that a sommelier has a massive influence on the perception (of quality) of wine in a guest’s mind through storytelling, forever stuck to me.

Looking at myself I am best described as a generalist, but there are some things that I have deep hands-on experience in: building websites and marketing automation. 

In the last three years I’ve been active as Head of Growth for the startup Rainbow Commerce where I was leading the marketing and growth operation for two brands. Here I gained a lot of valuable experience in executing the end-to-end process from awareness to retention marketing.
